Alubnaniah lil Ilam SAL was founded in 2006. It is headed by Roy Hachem and owns OTV, belonging to the same wider network of outlets spearheaded by the Free Patriotic Movement and its distant affiliates (tayyar.org and Sawt El Mada).
In 2017 (in accordance with decree no. 156), it was granted a license to raise its capital from LBP 750,000,000 (about USD 500 000 at the time) to LBP 4,800,000,000 (about USD 3,000,000 at the time) and its shares from 30,000 to 192,000. Current and new shareholders were also allowed to subscribe.
