Charles Ayoub
A Lebanese journalist, Charles Ayoub is known for his pro-Syrian regime stance. On June 24, 2013, Charles Ayoub wrote an op-ed requesting financial support to his newspaper from Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad amounting to $700,000. He was a candidate for the parliamentary elections of 1972 and 2009. He was also briefly detained in 2018 after Sarkis Sarkis, a candidate to the Parliament filed a libel and bounced check lawsuit against him.
