Elias Bou Saab
Elias Bou Saab was an advisor to the former President of Lebanon Michel Aoun on International Cooperation (2017-2022). He was the Minister of Education and Higher Education from February 2014 to December 2016, and the President of the municipality of Dhour El Choueir in the Metn region of Mount Lebanon from June 2010 to December 2012. Most recently, he was Minister of National Defense between 2019 and 2020; afterwards, he was elected as an MP during the 2022 election – he was then elected as Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Elias Bou Saab is the founder and Executive Vice President of the American University in Dubai, a title he has held since the University’s inception in 1995. A shareholder in AlMada.org news website, Fame FM and Sawt El Mada radio stations, he is also a member of the founding board of directors of television station OTV. He was excluded from FPM in 2024 due to disagreements with party leader MP Gebran Bassil.
